What happens if I go over my traffic limit?

If you exceed your unique visitor allotment you will receive a polite email from us asking you to upgrade. That's it. Your pages will continue to function as normal, you will still be able to access your account and all your data will still be available to you.

You can monitor your traffic from the Account Overview page.

Are leads still able to fill out the form? Will I still get notifications of the prospects' info?

Is there an option to just buy more traffic, no additional domains or removed Unbounce footer?

Hi Rafael,

You'll still get 100% functionality. We'll just remind you that you need to upgrade. That's all.

Thanks, this is good to know. When choosing the plans you offer, I was worried that I would have to guestimate in advance how much traffic I was going to receive, with the fear that the site would go down once the limit was exceeded and until it was upgraded.

@Angus - you'll still receive an upgrade email but if you exceed your plan's subscription limit by a slim margin, we're understanding.  If you will significantly exceed your plan's traffic then please upgrade to ensure uninterrupted service.

I grabbed your special offer recently, and I just need to allow more traffic. But if I choose to upgrade from my plan to a new one, I am in fact losing features! I don't want to be stuck in the current plan as I need more traffic capacity. Is there a way to handle this.

Also, in my case, someone sent junk traffic from link shorter paid service (like adf -ly) and completely depleted my traffic balance in 2 hours. Any chance to have a feature to block traffic based on referer?

Hi JP - since we have a support ticket open regarding your account traffic, I will go ahead and keep investigating and troubleshooting with you via that ticket.

Isn't 200 really, really low for a traffic limit? Surely that's a mistake? I had no idea it would be so low and I'm using it as a landing page for a specific event in a few days' time so am trying to link to it from everywhere - now I'm really worried they won't see it.

Hi Elizabeth - the 200 visitor limit on the free demo plan is very low, but the intention of that plan is just to give you an opportunity to check out the editor and kick the tires on the app a bit. For testing out Unbounce with a full campaign, we offer a free 30-day trial of all of our paid plans. If you upgrade to any 30-day trial, you'll get access to all of the features (including the traffic limits) of that paid plan, even when you're still in your trial period.
