Note: Field mapping for MailChimp is now available in Unbounce Labs! This feature will allow you to send any field from your Unbounce form over to MailChimp. Read all about it in the Unbounce Answers Field Mapping article.
Integrating Mailchimp with your Unbounce landing page is simple, follow the steps below and you will have your campaign up and running in no time!
That's it, you're all set!
Once your account is integrated, you are ready to start capturing the email of leads on your Unbounce page. Now that everything is setup we highly encourage you to test it out and make sure everything is working as you expect it. Publish your page, submit a form, and check that the new lead shows up in Mailchimp (can take up a couple minutes).
Once you’ve tested everything out you can click Reset Stats so that your conversion rate isn’t affected by the tests.

These were good directions, just right. Took me five minutes. Thanks!
Thanks Jonathan, great to hear you got it set up!
Very clear instructions - thanks!
Thanks for these instructions. People need to realize that these instructions are needed to immediately send a email to someone who has signed up on your list.
Thanks Nathan, I've made a slight update at the top of the article.
Easy as pie. I LOVE the Chimp!!! And I love my chimp t-shirt!!! Who can I trade my Cool Site of the Day tshirts for more chimp shirts ;) ????

Is it possible to pass along other fields from your forms to mail chimp to enable the same segmentation functions. I.E. I have asked for the user to input their favourite grocery store and would like to be able to send that along to mailchimp and be able to send a campaign to that group. Is this possible?
Hey William: it sure is! Check out our article on Field Mapping which covers how to use the feature to send arbitrary form fields to your MailChimp account.
Sorry if this is a stupid question. If I want unbounce to pass on Capture Page ID, Variant Letter and Custom Date to my MailChimp Lists, does that mean I have to use mailchimp's 'sign up form embed code' and embed it into my landing page? Or can I simply create a form on unbounce and connect my mailchimp and unbounce accounts together?
Hope that made sense =S
Hi Lenny,
If you follow the instructions on this page, then you can use regular Unbounce forms for your Unbounce page and it will all work. There is no need for MailChimp's "sign up form embed code".
It looks like Mail Chimp already has these fields added and hidden- So I don't need to go through the steps above. Is that right??? I added a screen capture so you could see what I'm talking about-
When I first tried to integrate Undounce with MailChimp there was a problem with merging fiels (I used Russian in unbounce and there is Englinsh in MailChimp). Now it seems this is resolved. Another issue I wasn't satisfied with was confirmation and welcome e-mails. Why do I have to use one of them? Why can't I choose none of them? Can I skip this at all?
I use unbounce for events registrations and I think confirmation or welcome e-mails could confuse people after they register. Why do they need to know they are in a list? Another reason is different language: our audience is Russian speaking this is why most of them will not understand that e-mail and there is no possibility to translate it.
Hi Lisa - Page ID, Page Variant, and lead submission date is data that Unbounce forms automatically collect with each lead (and you're right, this is done in the backend of the pages so therefore is hidden to the users.) However, this information is only sent through to integrations like your MailChimp integration if you have set up field mapping (http://support.unbounce.com/entries/20305198-How-to-Use-Field-Mapping.)
From your screenshot it looks like you have already set up field mapping for your MailChimp integration so that these fields appear into your MailChimp data.
Hi Vladimir - unfortunately the requirement for either choosing the confirmation email or welcome email is a part of the MailChimp API that we use. This requirement is a part of their terms of service so we actually can't change it from our end, and allow our customers to by-pass the requirement.
However, I did want to mention that with both the confirmation and welcome emails, they are customizable inside your MailChimp account so you can customize the messages for your Russian speaking audience (http://unbounce.zendesk.com/entries/310842-triggering-autoresponder...)
